Voice 2 Text Bangla provides one feature: user-invoked Bengali voice typing in supported browser text fields. This policy explains what the extension handles and what it deliberately does not do.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Voice 2 Text Bangla Chrome extension and its popup, options page, content script and service worker. The extension is designed for supported pages in Chrome 96+ environments where browser speech recognition is available.
2. Data handled
When you accept the in-product voice-data disclosure and start voice typing, the browser’s SpeechRecognition service receives microphone speech to produce interim and final transcript text. The extension reads the selected text-field position and writes recognized text into that field so the feature can work.
The extension stores only user settings and your voice-data consent choice in chrome.storage.local. It does not operate an extension backend, upload audio or transcripts, keep transcript history, collect browsing analytics, show ads or provide developer or human access to your speech or field content.
3. Use and sharing
Speech and field data are used only to provide the disclosed voice-typing feature. Voice 2 Text Bangla does not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with the developer or other parties. The browser speech provider may process speech under its own terms, as described below.
4. Retention and control
The extension does not retain microphone audio or transcript history. You can withdraw consent from the popup or Options page, disable the extension, clear its local settings or remove it from Chrome. These actions stop the extension from using its stored settings and prevent future extension activity.
5. Browser speech provider
Recognition availability and processing behavior depend on your Chrome version, platform, permissions, network conditions and the browser speech-service implementation. Chrome or its provider may process speech under separate privacy terms. Voice 2 Text Bangla does not control or replace that service, and restricted pages such as Chrome internal pages and the Web Store cannot host the extension’s ordinary content script.
6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Voice 2 Text Bangla’s use of user data is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide the extension’s single purpose, is not used for advertising and is not made available for human review.
